Procedure

The same process applies to installing or updating Mitchell Connect:

  1. In the Job Overview, click the Needs Install or Needs Update banner on the estimate card. *
  2. Click Start Setup.
  3. Click Download., to download the executable setup file. 
  4. To run, either click on the downloaded file, or click Run from the browser window. Windows Installer Wizard will initiate the installation.

*If a banner is missing, open an estimate and click Export EMS: a Setup Utility window will open and prompt to download and run the file.

 

Additional NotesDesktop Agent already is already installed if Mitchell Connect is an installed app. To verify, use Windows Start to search Installed Apps for Mitchell Connect.

To stop Desktop Agent from running while updating, go to the Windows System Tray, click the Mitchell Connect icon, and highlight Exit.

Antivirus or Security Software may need to be temporarily disabled prior to installing Desktop Agent.
