Uninstalling
RepairCenter leaves behind files and folders that can cause issues or make resolving issues difficult.
To ensure that
RepairCenter has a clean install, first
RepairCenter needs to be uninstalled:
- Open the Start menu.
- Go to Control Panel.
- Depending on both the version of Windows and "View by" setting this step varies:
- View by: Category – Click Uninstall Program in the Programs section.
- View by: Large Icons or Small Icons – Click Programs and Features.
- Find Mitchell RepairCenter in the list and select it.
- Click the Uninstall in the toolbar above the programs listing.
Before
RepairCenter can be properly reinstalled, several folders need to be found and deleted:
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Mitchell – or in a 32-bit OS C:\Program Files\Mitchell
- If the RepairCenter folder exists here, delete it.
- Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Mitchell
- If the RepairCenter folder exists here, delete it.
- In the address bar for Windows Explorer, type: %appdata% then press Enter.
- If the RepairCenter folder exists here, delete it.
Now run the
RepairCenter installer that was downloaded from the License email received from
www.mitchell.com/installrepaircenterOR
If there is another system with RepairCenter installed they can access.
- Click More.
- Click Configuration.
- Click Application Access.
- Click Licensing.
- Click Obtain Installation and Activation Code in lower left corner.
- Enter e-mail shop needs it sent to.
- Click OK.
